Read full description of the books:
Youve been given a project to run. You know you need to get it right, but you dont know what you need to do and in what order to make sure it all runs smoothly and you come out of it looking great. You need Project Management Step by Step.
Almost every manager and businessperson finds at some time that he or she has to complete a task that has sufficient complexity and importance that an ad-hoc approach to getting it done is just not enough. Managers in this common situation need the structure and rigour of a project management approach, yet very few managers are formally trained in project management or have the inclination, time or finances to become trained. They need an approach they can feel confidant is sufficiently robust to ensure their success, but also simple enough to be immediately applicable. Project Management Step by Step provides the solution to this problem; a practical and immediate way to become a competent project manager.
This is a comprehensive and authoritative guide written and structured in a practical and rapidly applicable style.

Read information about the authorI read and write both professionally and for pleasure.
I have eclectic tastes in books, and am willing to give almost anything a try. I love good literature, I read a lot of philosophy, and for professional reasons business, management and motivational books, (although slightly hypocritically I'm not that big a fan of the genre). I read history, travel and mountaineering books - and books about central Asia which is a bit of a personal obsession. I'll regularly read things beyond these categories, my general principle is I'll give most books a go if they are good and well written.
As an author, my published works are mostly professional books. My only non-professional book was published in July 2013. All my books related to making things happen and getting things done. My books have been translated into 17 languages and won awards, including the Management Book of the Year 2013.
I also write for my own pleasure - a private joy, most of which will probably never see another reader! But I'm always happy to chat about if anyone is even vaguely interested. I feel we authors tend to forget writing as simply a pleasurable activity, and over focus on publishing.
Outside of books I am interested in philosophy, mountaineering, trail running, working and travelling in interesting places, as well as a wide range of music. I split my time between consulting, writing, public speaking, studying and travelling in wild and mountainous places. I work internationally. When I'm at home I live between the Cotswolds, UK and the Tatra's, Poland. If you have questions or comments on my writing feel free to contact me.
